Digging Deep

June 14
I grew up the daughter of a road and bridge builder, so discussions on digging deep were common around the dinner table. The comment "we hit rock and had to blast" makes perfect sense in the construction world, but it also has a place in our faith walks.
Digging into the Word is easy in America. We can pick up our personal Bibles, walk freely into our churches and turn on our radios and TVs to tune into gospel messages everyday. There are times though we when don't hear from the Lord and we feel as though we have hit a rock wall.

So we come into His presence with a blast of thanksgiving and give him praise anyway because of who He is. And we wait patiently on Him.

I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1
