Be Thankful

November 28
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts…
And be thankful.
Colossians 3:15

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
Psalm 100:4

My husband challenged a group of his students to express what they were thankful for.  One young lady responded, "I'm thankful I'm not a turkey."  :-)
We live in a fallen world filled with evil, sorrow and pain.  As I look out my window the clouds abound, but there are streaks of the bright blue background making the a statement, that blue skies may prevail. God's love it like that. It makes a statement!  A statement saying, "Look at Me! I am your hope, your joy, your future.  All this, the evil, sorrow, and pain, will one day pass away and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

So today we choose to enter the day with thanksgiving, remain in God's presence with praise and give Him thanks for the hope to come.  And by the faith of our fathers we will allow the peace of Christ to rule in our hearts and be thankful.

All the Andrews send you a hearty Thanksgiving Cheer and pray that You will be filled with the Spirit and experience extraordinary joy on this day and in the days to come.
