Holy Week

The palm branches are done waving, HOLY Week has begun. Jesus knew what was ahead and he was WHOLLY committed to God’s whole plan.  Today my heart has headed to take a look at what it means to be holy.

An now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good? Deuteronomy 10:12

May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.  May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.  1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

A sweet, sweet friend received a bridge lesson from her 88 year old father last Wednesday afternoon and then they went out to dinner.
The next morning she made time to go for a walk with him down by the river.  Then they parted ways…she headed to Target and her daddy drove about 3 blocks and had a heart attack and died.  He is now blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father!  How amazing is that.  Now that’s an awesome way to experience Holy Week…in the presence of Jesus who paid it all.
