Last Call

Can't think of the last time I was in a bar for "last call." But that phrase crossed my mind the other day while studying in Thessalonians and thinking about the Lord's return. Beth Moore teaches on these two books and gets mighty riled up and excited over six strong words Paul preaches about...When the Lord Jesus is revealed!" Life as we all knew it will change in a flash! The pain, the trouble, the injustice and evil will BE GONE! We won't be turning on our TV's for a news flash...we will be with the Lord, while others are watching the blazing fire flash in the sky and crying out in anguish that they missed the last call!
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to your who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 2 Thessalonians 1:6-7
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed-in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory."
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?"
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15: 51-57
