Adrenaline

Coming across Hebrews 12:2-3 in The Message really fired up my faith the other day!  "We'd better get on with it!"  Whew.  Just chew on this "He (Jesus) never lost sight of where he was headed-that exhilarating finish in and with God-he could put up with anything along the way."

Read this passage and get fired up!

"Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!"
Hebrews 12:2-3

My husband and I have just come from the mecca of adrenaline shots. Visiting our son and granddaughter for their birthdays in Park City, Utah was an eye opener to action sports.  Skiing, biking, alpine sledding, zip lining, the Olympic training center...whew!  Fast action!

It's also a place where people of the Mormon faith are proud to talk about their faith, throw out LDS, (as a term one should be familiar with) and point out their Brigham Young College rings if they are wearing one.

My adrenaline for Christ needs to shoot through my soul and shine out of my life in such a vibrant fashion.
