To Be…Disciplined

These two young men have led very disciplined lives to become
college scholarship football players.
Now the older one is off to the NFL. It wasn't by chance, he has worked diligently.

Discipline is for our good.

"But don’t, dear friend, resent God’s discipline; don’t sulk under his loving correction.

It’s the child he loves that God corrects; a father’s delight is behind all this."

Proverbs 3:11-12

“So, what a blessing when God steps in and corrects you!

Mind you, don’t despise the discipline of Almighty God!"
Job 5:17 MSG

It's been such a joy to spend time with our grandchildren.  There are so many teachable moments to take advantage of.  While waiting at the bus stop with one of our grandsons, we've looked up a Bible verse each morning to talk about.
I can't wait to talk about Proverbs 3:11!

My husband coached middle and high school sports for twenty years and he often told the players, when a coach stops getting on you is when you should get worried. That means he's given up on you.  Be thankful for correction and instruction!
