Sisters in the Throne Room

September 10

Bam, band, whoa, where did that one come from. That is how things felt at school yesterday as one teacher did not show up, a child had an emotional meltdown, and the board meeting was going on down the hall while our headmaster was fighting the flu and a tooth.(I've caught his toothache!) It was also the first AWANA night for
the church we rent, which meant we had major clean up to do before we left.
We had to call in impromptu faculty meeting to deal with a student situation, but God
used that time for good as we all began to pray. When we came up out of prayer, one
of the teachers said she could just burst into tears. Yikes! No, it was a good thing for it was a God thing. She explained that when she prays she always envisions herself the throne room with God on his throne and giant white columns all around.
As she prayed she saw those of us praying together as sisters praying together before the Lord! What a beautiful picture.
This past weekend we saw someones debutante pictures and I was explaining to another woman the debutante process, which ends with a ball and a beautiful white dress.
If I didn't have to go off to school this morning I would love to try to paint a picture of the glory of God shining down on a group of women, bowed before him in their beautiful white dresses!
The awesome thing is for now, we can come in our rags or our nightgowns and even have wet hair and still be beautiful in His sight!

You know when a crowd gets excited and cheers and chants? Well, that is how this victorious passage makes me feel.
"Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. They will say of me, 'In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.' All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame. But in the Lord all the descendants of Israel will be found righteous and will exult." Isaiah 45:23-25

Let's Pray: Father, we all have people to see, places to go and things to do, but none have more importance than entering Your courts with praise this morning and lifting our voices of adoration to YOU! We come into Your presents with thanksgiving in our hearts and give you praise, and bow before You Mighty One. In Jesus Name, Amen
