Savor the Moment

October 8-10

Our son and fiance arrived Wednesday and have been helping us put the final touches on their wedding weekend.
God has blessed us with gorgeous fall weather beyond our expectations. He has also blessed us with friends who have helped in ways we never imagined. For me the most uplifting part has been the scriptures He has provided in daily devotionals I read which are perfect for the situations we face. Over and over again I say, "Stay plugged into His word so you don't miss seeing how personal God is and how much He loves you.
Someone told our son to save the moment of his wedding weekend, because it will fly by. When earthly things bring comfort and satisfaction it is easy to fore go the unseen (like God), but I say..."Savor the moments with God, for they make the special earthly times that much more meaningful."

God slipped me some wonderful wisdom and encouragement today!

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint. Jeremiah 31:25

Do everything without complaining or arguing.
Philippians 2:14

Lord, You are beyond our comprehension. We bow before You with an attitude of adoration and the interjection, "WOW"!
We come into Your presence with thanksgiving on our hearts and give You praise. Forgive us when we lose focus of who You and are and what You have planned for us to do. Today guide not only our hearts and minds, but our eyes and mouths. May we speak a truth about You to someone else, which draws them to You! May the moment we savor this weekend, be the one when we hear You speak to us! In Jesus' Name, Amen
