Fall is a berry good season!
"A proud man is always looking down on things and people;
and of course, as long as you are looking down you cannot see something that is above."
Isn't it amazing how each of us can read a quote like the one by C.S. Lewis above, and our minds can drift in dozens of different directions. An arrogant actor, a prideful politician, a calculating colleague, am asinine athlete, or a nagging neighbor may come to mind. Instead of allowing that individual to continue to needle our nerves we should begin praying they hear Jesus calling them to take the focus off themselves and look up!
"First pride then the crash-the bigger the ego, the harder the fall."
Been there done that. No fun. Pray for God to place people in our lives, who love us enough to come alongside us, pray with us and help point us in a direction that helps us avoid the crash.
Then pray we will have ears to hear.
