Don't Be Deceived

June 1
Recently, on my normal walking route, I encountered something out of the norm. A fox was sitting in the middle of the road and not the least bit interested in budging.  Finally, he meandered to the side of the road as I passed. He took a sip of water from a drain cover and walked parallel alongside me.
It was a bit unnerving.  Pulling out my phone I clicked away taking pictures during this unusual encounter.

God showed His Presence through a retired veterinarian friend who drove by in his car a little while later. Showing this friend the pictures he said the fox did not appear to be rabid, but the behavior was unusual and there was always the possibility a disease could be incubating.

I will not be feeding or petting the fox if he appears on future walks.

Moments later the head of the golf course maintenance department pulled up in a golf cart.  He was aware of the fox and explained. He's just got a strange personality because he's been humanized.

Bingo! Isn't that why so many people fall into sin. They've been humanized!  Told by humanity that what the Bible calls sins, the world has desensitized and called acceptable behavior. Ah, moral scam artists are what we contend with! The enemy taunts us with temptation weaving a web of lies around us for a take down. In order to not be deceived we must know truth.

Do not be deceived...”  1 Corinthians 15:33

"...and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."  John 8:32
