He Knows Our Needs

Celebrating #1 birthday with this little guy.

Last week was heavy on the hospital visitation circuit, such BIG needs.
It been heart wrenching to watch several families go through so many huge unknowns and extremely difficult surgeries.  One of the visits was to a hospital in Richmond, VA.

A filled up with Jesus friend sent me this verse as we traveled.

"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."  Proverbs 73:26

While on the road we learned that one woman we were hoping to visit had died and another close friend had been taken to the hospital in the opposite direction.  Before the day was out an email came that another church member was in a fourth hospital with a flesh eating disease.

Praying in the room of the patient in Richmond, I asked the family to take a moment and imagine the angels surrounding us.  Oh, if we had eyes to see the spiritual realm we'd be blown away by how many angels hover in and over a hospital!

Waking up in the middle of the night I had all these families on my heart.  Opening Jesus Calling I thanked the Lord for knowing all our needs.

"I AM A MIGHTY GODNothing is too difficultfor Me. I have chosen to use weak ones like you to accomplish My purposes. Your weakness is designed to open you up to My Power. Therefore, do not fear your limitations or measure the day’s demands against your strength. What I require of you is to stay connected to Me, living in trusting dependence on My limitless resources. When you face unexpected demands, there is no need to panic. Remember that I am with you. Talk with Me, and listen while I talk you through each challenging situation.
I am not a careless God. When I allow difficulties to come into your life, I equip you fully to handle them. Relax in My Presence, trusting in My Strength."
For nothing is impossible with God.
—Luke 1:37
The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
—Deuteronomy 31:8
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
—2 Corinthians 12:9
