Incredible Times

This came from a friend. She writes referencing the Jeremiah verse above.
"I would say the same thing, therefore, about the coronavirus. Jesus has all knowledge and all authority over the natural and supernatural forces of this world.  He knows exactly where the virus started, and where it's going next. He has complete power to restrain it or not.  And that's what happening. Neither sin, nor Satan, nor sickness, nor sabotage is stronger than Jesus.  He's never backed into a corner; he is never forced to tolerate what he does not will."

"The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations."
Psalm 33:11

I emailed our senior pastor to let him know he was on my heart with the tough decisions that are being made concerning group events. The enemy would love to see churches closed and impede the spread of the gospel and the power of congregational worship and prayer. I love how my pastor responded to my email.

"Hi Boo, what an incredible time we are living in and the Lord has called us to serve Him during this time! Amazing! What the Lord has been showing me the last week, is that just about every discussion we have right now there is an open door to talk about Jesus."

Amen, so mount up ye servants of the Lord!  The harvest is plentiful.
There may physically be closed doors, but this pandemic is opening doors to spread the gospel to anxious, hurting hearts that may now be ripe and open to hear!

"Draw near to God and he will draw near to you."  James 4:8

May we be found brave, courageous, and full of a contagious faith in Jesus in these trying days. When God calls us to share toilet paper with a neighbor; sit and listen to someone who is anxious; take in a stranded college student; take food to children out of school these next few weeks who usually gets breakfast and lunch at school; baby sit for a neighbor who needs to go to work; or write notes to nursing home residents who can no longer have any visitors,  will we say,  "Here am I, send me."  Isaiah 6:8

Remember whatever a day holds we want to end it knowing God has gotten the glory for the great things he has done.  He is the Holy One who holds us in the palm of His hand.
