February 9 Random Act of Kindness

I think most of us who are married took a vow to love and to cherish our spouse. When we cherish someone it is a lot easier for them to love us back! David Jeremiah has a good radio series on love, marriage and sex, based on The Song of Solomon. Check it out: www.oneplace.com
Steamy, steamy!

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth— for your love is more delightful than wine. Pleasing is the fragrance of your perfumes; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the young women love you! Take me away with you—let us hurry! Let the king bring me into his chambers.

He quotes Ogden Nash's poem "A Word to Husbands"
To keep your marriage brimming
With love in the loving cup
Whenever you're wrong admit it
Whenever you're right shut up!
While Jeff Foxworthy philosophies are my husbands marriage guidance of choice, he would probably agree with Mr. Nash's advice.
One of my random acts of kindness was to fill this little tin pictured above with some of my husband's favorite goodies and leave it as a surprise on his desk. Another great one years ago, when all our kids lived at home, was to have one of his fellow teachers to ask him to join him at the Holiday Inn to meet a friend of his who was staying there. When he arrived at the hotel room he realized I was the friend!

David Jeremiah posed this question to women looking for a husband.
Are you seeking a man who is good looking or one who is looking good to God?
Lucky me, I got both!

The man/woman in your life right now may be the five year old next door. It may be the lonely widow/widower at a local retirement home or sitting in the pew in front of you. Ask the Lord who needs to feel the love and get creative and pass it on!
