Shepherdless

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them,
because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36

May the Lord, the God who gives breath to all living things, appoint someone over this community to go out and come in before them, one who will lead them out and bring them in, so the Lord's people will not be like sheep without a shepherd.
Numbers 27: 16-17

November 5
Tensions are high in our nation with the impending election having the propensity to lead us down such different paths.  Tomorrow night, if the results carry sufficient evidence to announce a winner, one half of our nation could be gorgonized.  What will it take to placate those individuals?
For those of us who love the Lord and have been called according to His purpose, if we have studied the issues and voted for the man whom we believe is the one God would appoint to lead our nation, we can step back in peace as we trust in His sovereignty.
For the One who leads us says:
I am the good shepherd.  The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:11
