Complete

COMPLETE
May 22
The start of a school year is so exciting, but the end of the year is a welcome sight as well!  A disciplined Bible study produces a similar pattern.  Sunday, I completed the 10 week Experiencing the Heart of Jesus study by Max Lucado.  There was a sense of accomplishment, in spiritual growth, as the closing words crossed my mind.  "For the sake of what was ahead of him, for the hope of what he knew was coming, Jesus endured everything that life could throw at him."

Reflecting on that completion, I couldn't help but think about the day of our completion and how we will feel when we see Christ face to face.

...because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 1:5-6

Our prayer lists are full of needed "completions".

Just this morning I prayed for:
A a couple grandbabies to finish growing and be born completely healthy.
Several to be completely healed of cancer.
The medical testing process to be complete for some and an encouraging diagnosis revealed.
Some interviewing for jobs to complete the process and have a new job.
Four upcoming weddings full of details to be completed before they become one.
Others in the home selling or remodeling process to be complete along with inspections, deliveries, decorating and installations .
A whole lot of students and teachers to complete this school year strong.
Those who need to completely surrender their self sufficiently and surrender to Christ.
Me to live in complete obedience to Christ....it appears that will not happen this side of heaven, but it's a great prayer!  :)
