Assurance vs Insurance
August 16
Whew, I was ticked off, as I read a letter from our insurance company explaining that we need to be aware that if we are hospitalized at a hospital in our network that does not necessarily mean the pathology, radiology, anesthesiology and neonatal departments are in our network due to the fact these services are contracted out separately. Thus, we may be responsible for those fees! WOW, so do we need to start investigating now to see if there is a hospital in our network, which also has these groups in our network. I haven't been to the hospital where they didn't draw blood and take an x-ray, ultra-sound, or scan of some sort. I think I'm out of the woods neonatally, but my goodness this information got my blood pressure up.
The definition of insurance was: a means of guaranteeing protection or safety. There is no guarantee about insurance in America anymore.
I know...learn to be content, learn to be content!
Here we go with assurance! Check out what Merriam Webster has to say:
The state of being assured: as security, a being certain in the mind, confidence of mind or manner; easy freedom from self-doubt or uncertainly; something that inspires or tens to inspire confidence.
So we say "Thank You, Jesus, for the assurance of our faith, because of what You did for us on the cross and how You walk with us daily."
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
Where insurance frustrates us, assurance steps in and saves us.
