Cruising out of our cove a few nights ago, we were pleasantly surprised to find these two ladies grazing along the shoreline. God's creation amazes and delights.  Couple that with the potency of his Word and our appetites for new wonders can be continually satisfied.

He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.   Psalm 18: 32-34

As a deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.  Psalm 42:1

Here is a verse, that goes with a teachable moment my husband and I had the other day.  We were out for a walk and I had not brought any glasses and commented how my eyesight was fading. I pointed out that it was difficult to differentiate whether an object up ahead was a mailbox or a street sign.  My husband pondered a moment. "Hmm?  You are always going on about how good looking I am. In reality can't see how I've aged. I guess that is God's gracious gift to couples."

This deer verse reminded me of the importance of "the look of love".

A loving doe, a graceful deer-may her breasts satisfy you always, may you ever be intoxicated with her love.   Proverbs 5:19
