What Thrills You?

Our bounce house and pinwheels thrilled these two last week.

April 9
Does being sold out for Jesus thrill you?  Our church is doing a study together called "Thrive."
It is based on the passage John 10:10:
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;
I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

So how do we have a "full" life in Christ.  I've taken Colossians 3:1-17 and turned it into a prayer, knowing that it is only possible for the Holy Spirit to take over my life and manifest these things.

The Prayer:

God, please teach us to set our hearts on things above and not on earthly things.  Daily, may we resist the temptations which come and put to death any tendency towards sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed.  Not in our own strength, but that of the Holy Spirit will you rid us of anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language.

Please Lord, may we never lie to each other. It is our heart's desire to be clothed with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; and to bear with each other and forgive one another!  May the first thing we put on each day be LOVE and an attitude of thanksgiving. While we know we will face trials of many kinds, would You please let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts at all times.

Thank You for the body of Christ. May we cherish one another and take seriously the responsibility of teaching and admonishing one another. No matter what our voices sound like, help us to have the discipline, out of love, to sing to You, God, with gratitude in our hearts. We desire to do all of this in the name of Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him in whose name we pray. Amen
