Look Out

This bunny lived under our front steps at Shilo for several years.

"Look out."  The words came to me during a prayer time and they were not a cautious warning or words evoking fear of any kind.  They were intended as a command to notice.  Sort of like God saying,  "Take time to look out and see all that I have created and all that I am doing in the lives around you."

Look out and see the vibrant colors of fall and know that I am a God that can change things and circumstances.
Look out and see the rising sun and remember my mercies are new every morning.
Look out and see the pinks, purples and oranges in a sunset and know that a time of rest is coming.
Look out and see the blondes, the brunettes, the red heads; the blue, green and brown eyed people and rejoice in knowing I have created each person to be unique.
Look out and see the refreshment a rainy day brings and the quiet, peace and calm of a new fallen snow.

"God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
For to the snow he says, 'Fall on the earth,' likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour."
Job 37:5-6

Look out at a newborn baby and be amazed at the intricacy of God's creative powers and thrill at the reality that He makes all things new. For those who are called into newness of life will receive new bodies in heaven.

"And he who was seated on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new.' Also, he said, 'Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.'"  Revelation 21:5

"We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life."  Romans 6:4

Look out, beyond ourselves and our desires, and see where God is at work and wants us to join him.
