Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
Touch a truck is part of our church's Fall Festival.
Children are allowed to sit in police cars and turn on the siren, climb on firetrucks and go inside ambulances. The bigger than life experience is a thrill for little people, but for me as an adult
it was a tragedy free moment to say "Thank you," to these people who serve in very
stressful situations.
We have so much to be thankful for. As I prayed about the weekly encouragement I would send to our QB, the Lord placed the words "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You," on my mind. It was a tactful way of saying instead of asking for things for him this week, how about thanking me for what I'm doing for him. How blessed we are to have the Holy Spirit to gently nudge us in the right direction. The words of appreciation flowed out easily. 1) Thank You he is was not paralyzed or killed by the hit. 2) Thank You he has a head coach who loves You, Lord. 3) Thank You he has love and support from a family.
Psalm 145:8-20 is an awesome reminder passage of who God is and how blessed we are to be called His children.
"You are merciful, Lord! You are kind and patient and always loving. You are good to everyone, and you take care of all your creation. All creation will thank you, and your loyal people will praise you. They will tell about your marvelous kingdom and your power. Then everyone will know about the mighty things you do and your glorious kingdom.
Your kingdom will never end, and you will rule forever. Our Lord, you keep your word and do everything you say. When someone stumbles or falls, you give a helping hand. Everyone depends on you, and when the time is right, you provide them with food. By your own hand you satisfy the desires of all who live.
Our Lord, everything you do is kind and thoughtful, and you are near to everyone whose prayers are sincere. You satisfy the desires of all your worshipers, and you come to save them when they ask for help. You take care of everyone who loves you, but you destroy the wicked."
What is it you need today? To be loved, cared for, offered mercy or shown patience?
God is right here waiting for you to notice Him and all that He is to your life.
