Grow Laughter and Lollipops

Probably more than ten years ago I saw the idea of letting your children plant a jelly bean in dirt the night before Easter Sunday, then when they go in the yard the next morning the bean has turned into a lollipop.  We tried it and it was magical. Such a hit with the grands. The problem is they want to do it every time they spend the night, so I have to keep a stash of jelly beans and lollies on hand, be aware when they are doing this and get up before them to put in the lollipop after the dew has fallen.

I forgot one day and told our grandson, "See that squirrel nest in that tree. I bet you anything that busy tailed squirrel has your lollipop."

To save our backs from having to stoop down to the ground, we started letting them plant in the planter right outside our front door.  We have gotten a little reprieve by saying, "Like the flowers, the beans don't grow in cold weather. We must wait until spring!"

Does laughter grow in your home?

Are there reasons to smile in the rooms of your home?

Do you put ice cream and sprinkles on your pancakes?

"But the one who rules in heaven laughs."  Psalm 2:4
