Two's day

April 21

Before my eyelids opened I began to pray: "Good morning Lord,
what is up for today? For that matter, what is today? The
reply..."Two'sday, for I am with you!"

What a blessing to know we are never alone. Of all the gifts
we have received most likely "salvation" ranks way up there, but
the Holy Spirit should be nipping at salvation's heels. What a helper!

2 Corinthians 1:21-22
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He
anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our
hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

1 John 2:20, 27
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you
do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about
all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has
taught you, remain in him.

Romans 5:5
And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love
into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Oh, my goodness, what a combo...the inspiration and delight which comes
from the reality of the Holy Spirit dwelling in me and then in the back
of my mind, hearing Elvis sing...You Will Never Walk Alone. Now that
is a God with a sense of humor. Sing it my friends:

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never, ever walk alone.

Let's Pray: Lord, You are so all sufficient and
have no needs, yet You take time to mess with us. Thank You for
knowing how needy we are and providing us a counselor, a helper,
Two'sday and we do not have to walk alone. In Jesus' Name,
Amen
