Here come the bass boats;
100 of them entered in the ESPN Blueridge Bass Brawl!
The start was at 7AM this morning and their big engines can be heard all
over the Lake. They really like our cove! Now this is a sport, where you
have to learn to wait upon the Lord....I mean fish!
Warren Wiersbe, in his book Be Encouraged, takes a look at Paul's life in
2 Corinthians where Paul has learned to wait upon the Lord.
"Paul did not make his plans carelessly or haphazardly; he sought the leading of the Lord. Sometimes he was not sure what God wanted him to do, but he knew how to wait on the Lord. His motives were sincere; he was seeking to please the Lord and not men.
Paul was sure that God was leading him. The circumstances were not comfortable, and Paul could not explain the detours and disappointments, but he was sure that God was in control and working everything together for good.
If God be for us, who can be against us?...Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. Romans 8:31,37"
The circumstances for this four day fishing tournament are going to be
down right HOT. It is supposed to reach 90 one day.
Hmm, I wonder how a lemonade stand on the dock would work?????
Boat by and check it out. I think I will hand out lemonade and scripture verses.
We have Matthew 4:19 on a sign on the end of our dock,
I hope it makes these guys smile.
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men."
