In the Ark or in the Dark

Wake up call! Walking around a large city up north, I found myself enamoured with the sites and fearful of the unknowns...directions, metro system, etc. Having just a short time to be there, I wanted to pack in as much as possible. Taking time to be still and know that God was God, the next morning I began to weep. I had missed the boat! My focus has been on myself and the things of this world, not the Lord's business. My heart was so heavy as I realized I hadn't noticed or prayed for the people around me. I was in the dark.
Praising God that each day is new and is full of his forgiveness I redirected my focus and wanted to have a Noah sort of faith..being willing to follow God's lead.
Ah, a much more meaningful day surfaced.
The highlight of my day was asking a waiter if he had any prayer requests.
His comment back to me made me smile..."Are you from Georgia? SC?"
This young man was precious and I look forward to getting to know him better
through email, for I love Godincidences. Without a doubt taking time to
establish a relationship with this one, whom God loves so much, was the
best part of my day!
If he is reading thistoday I want him to know I am praying, so please join me.
Father, with You all things are possible...we just have to remember to be "with You" to experience the incredible possibilities. The dream come true moments are much more probable with You leading the way and not us. All reading this devo lift up my new friend to You and thank you for his life. He is fearfully and wonderfully made and You have plans and a purpose for him that You plotted out before the beginning of his time! WOW! Increase his faith right now and hear his heart as he seeks a new job and a new place to live. Plot out his days, so that he has time to sit and be still and listen to You. Lord I also ask that You lead him to an awesome place of worship...hmmm...maybe it is there the answers to the job connection and new housing opportunities will be fulfilled! You are an awesome God and we love You. Keep us from the dark and instead living fruitful lives in faith even to the point of being willing to step on the ark with You if called! In Jesus Name, Amen
