Pass the Flame
November 17
Opening the match box, only two wooden matches were remaining. Lighting the first deep candle the match burned quickly and I realized it would not sustain the trip to the second candle...but no fear from one wick to another the flame can be passed along (ok, you may spill a bit of wax in the process, but it works). Going candle to candle I lit ten candles. Standing back and admiring the glow I thought about how we are to be the light of Christ to a lost and hurting world and just as one wick goes up against another to spread light, we are called to do the same.
Let's touch someone with a bit of Jesus today and pass the flame,
bringing light into the lives of others!
