Orangutan

Maybe I don't really hear from the Lord. This morning as I prayed about what to write, the word orangutan came to mind. Baffled, I looked at the word and broke it down...
o rang u tan - Hmm? Oh! You are rung out, go get a tan? Maybe a little dock time is in order today? Still feeling there must be a connection and seriously hoping there isn't one of these creatures in our woods or coming by UPS today, I headed off to Wikipedia and found this information worth consideration.

Orangutans live a more solitary lifestyle than the other great apes.

Luke 5:15-16 says: Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.

Today let's learn from the Orangutan and get alone and listen to the Lord.

The birthday son on a scout campout with his 12 year old son in Minnesota. It was the birthday of one of our sons. As I was writing a prayer for him related to his character, I googled traits of a godly man. I sent him the one below. She Fought the Good Fight

February 27 Bible Gateway's verse yesterday was: This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him . 1 John 4:9 A fitting verse for the day my everyday friend, soul sister, monster of the faith and mischievous partner in crime, Kaye, left this world behind and headed to her heavenly home. My husband was able to be by her bedside and said he knew she heard the words of our faith that he shared. Her sweet daughter held the phone up to her ear so I could say good-bye and the brightest single star you have ever seen shown through my bedroom window as she exited this earth! Yesterday, my heart literally ached so badly that I told the Lord, "Take me too!" Wouldn't she have been surprised if I had snuck up on her in heaven and said, "Thought you were going somewhere without me, did ya." Consecrate Your Home

  My husband's grandfather and his great uncle built these two homes on their family farm in 1924. They are no longer in existence. The white farmhouse in the background was the first home on the property & was where my husband lived when he was born. Our hearts are breaking here in the south for so many who have lost so much due to Hurricane Helene. Sunday afternoon we huddled in our basement  as a tornado warning blared on our phones. W ell, truth be told my husband went out the door to look for a tornado, as our houseguests and I went to the basement.
