Lost My Father...NOT
Sitting at a marina Sunday night, our three year old grandson befriended a 91 year old and they tossed popcorn to carp and ducks. This gentleman, from Gretna, VA, was delightful. Of course I had to ask him if he loved Jesus, which he does! He shared his heartache of losing a grandson to a car accident and a son to an aneurysm. While talking to him I shared I had lost my father when he was 93. Later that evening, I thought what a stupid statement for me to make. My father is not lost, he is in heaven.
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1
