Wild Child
July 1
Everybody needs a "wild child" who lives life to the fullest! I think our "wild child" may have one of his own! Does her little face just exude JOY or what!
Yesterday's Biblegateway verse in The Message translation is one I need ingrained in my heart for "wild times."
When I walk into the thick of trouble, keep me alive in the angry turmoil. With one hand strike my foes, with your other hand save me. Finish what you started in me, God. Your love is eternal-don't quit on me now. Psalm 138:8
Searching joy in The Message this great verse popped up! I"m telling you there is no better place to HANG out than in God's Word.
But what happens when we live God's way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard-things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely. Galatians 5:22
