I Love Lucy

Love this little one so much and pray as grandparents we can pass a godly heritage onto her.

April 15
I've jumped into a three week study of Moses.  Reading Exodus 1:8
"A new king, who had not known Joseph, came into power in Egypt."
I journaled to the Lord...
Father, how quickly we can forget godly leaders/authority figures who have gone before us.  Forgetting what they stood for, who they worshipped, and the morals they represented and wanted to pass on to us.
The story of Moses reminds us how you remedied the influence of the "Golden Calf Generation." You sent the Israelites off to the wilderness until that entire generation had died off,  so temptation for that sinfulness would not enter the next generations' hearts.

The Lord's anger burned against Israel and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years until the whole generation of those who had done evil in his sight was gone.  Numbers 32:13

Breaking a generational curse is a calling that is possible with the help of the Holy Spirit.

May we take seriously the call to pass on a knowledge of the mighty God we serve.

"We will not hide them from their descendants;
we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeps of the Lord,
his power, and the wonders he has done...,so the next generation would know them,
even then children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children...
They would not be like their ancestors-
a stubborn and rebellious generation, whose hearts were not loyal to God,
whose spirits were not faithful to him."
Psalm 78:4, 6, 8
