Heaven Day 26 & 27

 

Our youngest and his beautiful wife are headed to the hospital to have their 3rd child today.  A little girl!  Can grandmother's get baby brain?  I totally forgot to post yesterday. Forgive me Lord. Had some cute grandsons here for a sleepover and often I find grandchildren trump quiet time.

Here's a powerful thought....God never gets distracted.  We may think He's not present but He is.  Only God!

Heaven Day 26

For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.  Hebrews 9:24

Heaven Day 27  

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison, because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.  Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,  who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

1 Peter 3:18-22  

Read the whole chapter for a better context of what Peter is preaching.  The bottom line, related to Heaven is the reminder that Jesus is there and we have the opportunity of believing and joining Him one day forever.  Don't you love the sound of that "one day forever."
