Heaven Day 6 & 7

A precious pile on the pontoon!

Day 6

Psalm 68:32-34

Now sing praises to God. Every kingdom on earth, sing to the Lord!

Praise the one who rides across the ancient skies; listen as he speaks with a mighty voice. Tell about God's power! He is honored in Israel,  and he rules the skies. Just do it!

Just sing!

Probably the number one favorite activity with the grands so far this summer has been singing "silly" songs with Papa in his truck!  Most of them are old beach tunes, but the one that is #1 on their list this year is Alan Jackson's song, "Where I Come From"

"I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from, a lot of front porch sitin' Where I come from, tryna make a livin' And workin' hard to get to Heaven  Where I come from"

Each time they sing, their Papa makes the point that this song is NOT theologically sound.  Jesus did all the work on the cross for us to get to Heaven.

Day 7

Psalm 115:3                                                                     God is in the heavens, doing as he choses.

Hmm, shall it rain today or be a warm day filled with soft breezes?  How many babies will be born? Will the stars shine brightly or is tonight a night with cloud coverage. Whose heart will stop and enter into my presence?

While we have free will, God can order a day that sways our decisions and stirs our hearts.

Yesterday, I was studying God's Word with a new friend and we were discussing who God is and how what He can do is beyond our human comprehension.

Our litter of grands on our version of a puddle pad! They are up to interesting things themselves.  They were attempting to roll themselves up inside this pad like a taco. Oh to be a kid!

Be amazed by God today.
