To Be...Friends

August 30

"The sweet smell of incense can make you feel good, but true friendship is better still."  Proverbs 27:9

"Just as iron sharpens iron, friends sharpen the minds of each other." Proverbs 27:17

"Jonathan liked David so much that they promised to always be loyal friends."  1 Samuel 18:3

Sincere friendship is a true treasure.  You can get together with a childhood friend, whom you haven't seen in years and spend hours reminiscing or you can make a new friend and find excitement in the freshness of that new adventure.

These new friends gathered to support our daughter and her family in a ceremony to dedicated their son to the Lord. It brought tears to my
eyes to see the friendships the Lord has in place for them.
God knows the importance of steadfast friends in our lives.

Let's take time today to thank the Lord for new and old friends!
