To Be...Saturated in Scripture
Cousins enjoying an evening pontoon cruise!
August 13
This time of year mama's are saturating their children with sunscreen to hopefully prevent sunburn and the skin cancer which so many of us now battle because of over exposure to the sun. At this stage of life you hear of many tricks of the trade to prevent saggy and wrinkly skin. Lather on that coconut oil, rub on olive oil and let it saturate your skin.
If only we were as concerned about preventing sin from infiltrating our lives. There is a safe guard!
Saturate our minds with scripture. How many times a day do we apply scripture to our situation. How often do we pour it into our minds, so that is what will pour out of us when a response is needed.
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:2
"Your word is a lamp that gives light wherever I walk." Psalm 119:105
