To Be...Joyful for the Accomplishments of Others

August 8

One of the sweetest eye witness accounts is of watching adults cheer on children.  Whether it's encouraging them to smile, to turn over, to crawl, to walk, to ride a bike, to hit/kick/pass a ball...we can become great encouragers to little ones.  Why do we lose that trait as we age?  We become more like self-centered competitors.

"Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves."
Philippians 2:3

"Encourage each other and build each other up."  1 Thessalonians 5:11

Ask the Lord to point out someone who needs to be cheered on today.
