Evaluation
January 21
Evaluation-to determine the significance, worth, or condition of usually by careful appraisal and study
Our new president has been evaluating the situation of America. We
must pray for him as he determines the significance, worth and
condition of many these various situations. The unknown of what
lies ahead can be a little scary, but the truth is each day is
unknown and always has been.
We must focus on what is known to us and what has been proven
to be true over and over again...God's love.
The president will plug into many people as "power sources." We must
stay plugged into our most reliable "power sources"..."prayer"... and
the example of the life led by Christ. For upon evaluating His life
we see "worth" and "significance" with which nothing can be compared.
Because of this decision we don't evaluate people by what they have
or how they look. We looked at the Messiah that way once and got it
all wrong, as you know. We certainly don't look at him that way
anymore. Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united
with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is
gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God
who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us
to settle our relationships with each other. God put the world square
with himself through the Messiah, giving the world a fresh start by
offering forgiveness of sins. God has given us the task of telling
everyone what he is doing. We're Christ's representatives. God uses
us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into
God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for
Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend
with you. 2 Corinthians 5:16 (The Message)
Let's Pray
Lord, You are such a constant in our lives...thank You that you never
change. Life happens and changes constantly, but not You. Steadfast
is Your character. As we evaluate what today holds, may we be filled
with excitement knowing You have a plan! Show us where to join You.
In Jesus Name, Amen
