Train Up
March 21-22
Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6
Today's thought has dual purpose, for when we are training
up another we are reinforcing teachings that we ourselves
need to live by.
If we are not influencing a younger person today we need
to take action in some form. Now remember that can be
an 80 year old instructing a 60 year old!
Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled,
and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to
be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they
can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
Titus 2:2-4
Let's Pray: Lord, speak to us with Your wise counsel.
Gently teach us Your life sustaining precepts. How blessed we are to
be called Your children. Forgive us when we disappoint You and go our
own selfish ways, block our paths which could lead to destruction and
bring us quickly back into Your fold. Gives us thankful hearts which
are willing to pass on what we have learned to be true and for our
benefit. Raise up generations to come who cry out Holy, Holy, Holy
is the Lord God on high. In Jesus' Name, Amen
