Little Ones
People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. Mark 10:13
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:14
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.” Mark 9:37
If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6
Christ made some strong comments about the importance of keeping a clear path for children to get to him. Let's join together in praying for the vitality of Sunday Schools, Vacation Bible School, Church Pre-Schools, Christian Schools and ministries such as Good News Clubs and Child Evangelism Fellowship who are committed to taking the truth of the gospel to little ones.
The other day I met a cute chubby fellow and I whispered in his ear, "Jesus loves you." As I walked away I prayed that as he grew he would remember that phrase and be taught the ways of Christ.
I had my camera with me and took his picture.
