One In A Million-Wandering in Abundance
These are Scandinavian Christmas Ornaments I knitted for some friends as a reminder of their heritage.
The day I began this Bible study... into the wilderness on the way to the promised land, I asked the Lord..."Are you preparing me for a wilderness adventure?" Saturday morning at 10:30 I finished the last DVD of the study. At 11:30 AM a phone call came from my husband's sister that left us stunned, speechless, and numb. The phone rang again at 2:00PM, this time it was my sister, with news that made me weep...the wilderness had arrived. The question was...how would I wander?
So far I think I've looked to a coconut cream pie and chocolate covered almonds more than to Jesus.
Getting in our car Saturday, my husband and I headed out...by 8:30 PM we were heading back home and asking ourselves if the current situations facing us were for real. We both felt like we had to be dreaming.
God has allowed us to be in this place. A pastor friend posted this David Jeremiah quote on Facebook "Jesus came to save us from our sins, not from our circumstances."
The last page of One in a Million states: "Remember, the Israelites faced enemies as soon as they crossed the Jordan so promised-land living does not mean a life with no problems. It means experiencing God's power and presence in spite of difficulty. You know you are living in the land of abundance not when your circumstances change, but when this list below describes your life-even when circumstances have not changed."
Here's a list to pray we can live out.
