Elements of Easter
The sign should read...
The cross, Jesus, sacrifice for sins,
He is RISEN!
March 24
Some of our little peeps have arrived! Today's egg hunt will be with Resurrection Eggs, which tell the story of Holy Week. Our hope is to share various elements of the Easter story each day with the grandchildren. Today we will talk about the last supper Jesus had with his friends and how he tried to explain that he would be leaving them. We will also talk about how he washed their feet.
Jesus once again address them: "I am the world's Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness. I provide plenty of light to live in." John 8:12

"It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had comefor him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him." John 13:1-5
Last night we hunted glow in the dark eggs. The message was to be on how Jesus is the Light of the World, but the boys just wanted us to get out of the room so they could be in the dark with their eggs! Mama Boo was tuckered out too, so we will attempt that lesson again tonight.Jesus once again address them: "I am the world's Light. No one who follows me stumbles around in the darkness.
