"M" is for Marvelous
July 7
"In that day you will say: 'Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name,
make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted.'"
Isaiah 12:4
What if when we turned on the news each day the anchor began by saying:
“I just want to lift the name of the Lord on high this morning and thank Him for his faithfulness. When I look back on this past week and some of the tragedies our nation has faced and the evil we have seen play out, It has been comforting to see God at work through the churches and His people. How amazing after that horrific storm, the sunshine broke through and people came together to help one another. I have heard of so many lives being changed! We are so saddened over the death of _______ but the message that was preached at the funeral was a life changer for many. Oh, we don’t know the ways of the Lord, but we do know he is always up to good!"
Probably won’t ever happen on national TV, but that sort of proclamation can come out of our own mouths.
Check out the July 5 Jesus Calling.
Draw near to me with a thankful heart, aware that your cup is overflowing with blessings. Gratitude enables you to perceive Me more clearly and to rejoice in our Love-relationship. Nothing can separate you from My loving Presence! That is the basis of your security. Whenever you start to feel anxious, remind yourself that your security rests in Me alone, and I am totally trustworthy.
You will never be in control of your life circumstances, but you can relax and trust in My control. Instead of striving for a predictable, safe lifestyle, seek to know Me in greater depth and breadth. I long to make your life a glorious adventure, but you must stop clinging to old ways. I am always doing something new within My beloved ones. Be on the lookout for all that I have prepared for you.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me? Psalm 56:3-4
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
Let’s Pray:
Father, we come before you this day with thankful hearts! We rejoice in the blessing of knowing You and knowing nothing can separate us from Your love. We put our trust in You and relinquish the desire to control life. We want to know You more and become aware of all the new things You are doing in our lives. May we be found faithful to tell of Your love to others. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
