Once and For All

December 5
After just two days of seeking the Lord during Advent, I'm overflowing from the time with Jesus.
Every radio message, devotional book, study guide and email I've received on the topic has left me enriched. God has placed on my heart to focus on Jesus as the "LIGHT" of the world this season. So, I will try to bring that theme into the photographs.
The phrase "Once and for all" was my revelation on Sunday. I had read Isaiah 9:6-7
"For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
On the throne of David and over his kingdom,
To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness
From then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will accomplish this."
As I thought about the face that Jesus came as a permanent sacrifice for our sins, I thought he did it,
Once and for all. Then I chewed on those words in a way I never have. Previously, when they flowed out of my mouth they were most likely in expletive form. "I saying this "Once and for all." Im cleaning up this mess, "Once and for all." I think the phrase's emphasis was on done, finished, never again!
But when I say those words in like of Jesus' sacrifice for us I'm overwhelmed with the magnitude of coverage they represent. Jesus came to earth and died ONCE for ALL of us. We must only believe ONCE to receive the sacrificial gift to cover ALL of our sins.
Oh, sweet friends, that is really what Christmas is all about. Who needs to hear this today?
Jesus, died once and for ALL. Oh, how He loves you and me.
