Love-Let it Be Louder

Love screams out of this relationship.

February 18-19
A brother in Christ, who is in full time ministry, shared his 49-1 principle with me last week.  He said, "On a given day I can hear 49 words of praise and encouragement spoken over me and only 1 negative, but it is the negative that lingers on my mind. We have to let those words go."

Oh, my goodness. It's so true!
Why don't we allow love to be the louder voice, for Love is from God!

"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."  1 Corinthians 13:6-7

We need to check the heart condition from which our words flow out of our own mouths.
What is the purpose behind what we say?
Do our words bring life, bring hope, encourage, and point someone closer to Christ?
The more time we spend with God the more clearly we recognize his voice.
God's voice always aligns with scripture.

Paul shares with us in 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 in The Message translation:
"The word is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there!  The world doesn't fight fair.  But we don't live or fight our battles that way-never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture.  We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ.  Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity."

We do it all in love and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
We also except the hurtful words and accusations will be slung at us from time to time, but Jesus has given us the remedy for survival. I trust in His methods.

"But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you."  Luke 6:27-28
