Most of us have been trained up to not believe everything we hear, but do we adhere to the verse
which says to take every thought captive? Do we recognize our minds are where the enemy does some of his most destructive work? Are we training others to walk in the Spirit by compassionately challenging their thought process to align with God's Word and contemplate who is behind our thoughts, as God did with Adam and Eve in the garden? God asks Adam, "Who told you that you were naked?" God knew the answer, he was just causing Adam to be accountable to his thoughts.
Nibble on 2 Corinthians 10:4-6
"For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but have divine power to destroy stronghold. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete."
Controlling our thoughts is more of a daily process than brushing our teeth. It has to be done again and again! Glad we have the Holy Spirit as a Helper.
