While baby sitting our six year old grandson he and his friend came into the kitchen where I was cooking. This friend is a hoot to talk to. He began telling me about everything he carries with him when he goes on his bike.  One thing is a round silver reflector. He explained that if he ever got lost he would shine this up into the sky and if people are searching from the sky they would see the light and know where to find him. Our adventuresome grandson's immediate response was, "Cool! Let's go get lost and see if it works."  The friend looked at him and said, "Why would you do that? No one wants to be lost." A friend sent me the song I've chosen for today and oh how beautiful it is. It set me to pondering grace. I felt I heard the Lord say,   "Offer it out, accept it in." We are quick to accept God's undeserved grace, but we should be equally ready to offer such kindness to others. The media likes to  stir  up drama. After a cold wet win over the Ravens our Pittsburg QB nailed the post game, on the field, interview. Mason has led the Steelers to three straight wins, finally getting opportunity as QB1.  The interviewer asked if he was bitter that it has taken this long for him to have the chance to prove himself. His reply was spot on with his godly character. "Bitterness does no good. I choose GRATITUDE. I thank God for the opportunities I have had. I'm in the NFL!" After the game, a song popped up on Instagram.  I'd never heard it before. I forwarded it to Mason, because it paralleled his faith that God is always up to good.   We are nestled down for an ice storm.  Wishing it was snow, but I'm not in charge of the weather.  Ice storms are a good way to make you stay put.  I hope you can zoom in for this chuckle about us southerns.  “But the one who rules in heaven laughs.”   Psalm 2:4: Isn't that a happy  thought! Once I asked a woman if she attended a "fun" church. She gave me a quizzical look and said, "I'm catholic."  I said, "Well, there are a lot of fun places to worship. Loving on our new granddaughter, so here is a post for today and tomorrow. The connect group I attend is beginning a Bible Study called Abigail-Living with the difficult People in Your Life . In this study's first publication the sub title was "Living with Fools." Ha!  I think we all feel we have at one time or another. Being married to a man who was a private school administrator for 33 years, I heard tales of some foolish behavior!   This one is always dressing me up! She was sitting at a little table by the kitchen door working on a craft project when she exclaimed in a loud voice..."Look! It's the sun! It is back!" We had endured over 2 full days of rain during her Christmas break and she was wondering when the sun would return. Her jubilant cheers brought joy to all the hearts in the room.  Be joyful always!   1 Thessalonians 5:16 knowing even on the cloudy days God has a plan for our good. Revelation 21:23 holds a newsflash for us! There will be no cloudy days in heaven! And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.   That makes me jubilant. Now  she's rejoicing over her new baby sister born yesterday. If my posting is sporadic you know why! Im in my happy place.
