Who You Gonna Call...
When studying the Psalms for a year you are going to learn about a lot of "crying out".
A whole lot of people are crying out for Boo right now and her family greatly appreciates it.
This devotional and several others were in her box waiting to be posted. We are thankful she had these verses implanted in her heart before experiencing this stroke.
I cried to the Lord and he answered me from his holy hill. Psalm 3:4
These Psalms are called laments. Google defines lament as "a passionate expression of grief or sorrow."
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you. Psalm 50:15
I pray to you, Lord, I beg for mercy. I tell you all my worries and my troubles, and whenever I feel low, you are there to guide me. Psalm 142:1-3
It has taken me a long time to learn to go to the Lord before I dump my problems on my husband, family, friends, Siri or Google and I still falter. God has the best solutions and will direct our steps. Living on earth, where AI is escalating and influencing platforms we never imagined possible, requires discernment and wisdom.
Google's definition of AI includes "a branch of computer science that develops systems capable of simulating human intelligence to perform complex tasks...using cognitive simulation machines mimic-human-like thinking, such as visual perception, speech recognition, and decision-making."
The bottom line I am realizing is we cannot believe what we hear or see. Using simply your cell phone you can now totally change a photograph to alter more than pimples or wrinkles. Scams are rampant through identity theft. We just had to change our credit card due to charges made in Cypress, that were not ours. Such a scary scenario is how speech recognition can imitate a person's voice to make you believe you are hearing an individual.
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise. Ephesians 5:15
