Journey with James
November 18
I hate to leave James. What a friend he is.
The half-brother of Jesus is said to have
become a leader of the church in Jerusalem.
He cared enough to spur us on. He started
by telling us to not merely be listeners of
the Word, but doers of what it says. Then he
closes out with the most powerful proposition...
a life of faith, lived out in prayer!
Verses 13, 16
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray
for each other so that you may be healed. The
prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Prayer packs a powerful punch. The greatest advice that
can be left to us by anyone is....Pray!
