Pushing Buttons

Facing a little health issue, I am in some pain right now and was struggling to hear the Lord. Looking at my bedside table I noticed the remote control. Seldom, is it on my side of the bed. Most nights my husband falls asleep with it by his side and I reach across and place it on his bedside table, but last night the pain was too great, so I simply placed it on my table.
There are 33 buttons on that piece of equipment, equaling a lot of choices. We have just as many buttons in our lives which Satan encourages people to push! There are the down right evil ones wanting to steal, kill and destroy our joy. We come across the total strangers who get under our skin. The every day Joe, whose familiarity can breed contempt and of course let us never forget our loved ones who see us as a safety zone to let off steam. Total all the people we encounter in those various categories and we have more than 33 possible buttons to be pushed.
Praise the Lord only we control the power button and God Almighty is the source of our power!
Whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith! 1 John 5:4
Let's Pray: Lord, we give You control today of all situations. When we start to waiver may we feel recharged and in control because of the power within us through Your Holy Spirit. May the phrase..."He is victorious." come across our minds before doubt ever seeps in. The chill of fall is in the air announcing a change! Jesus is present and wants us to remember he changes darkness into light! Hallelujah, what a Savior, Amen!
