A Simple Act of Kindness
August 25-26
This Godtube video speaks for itself. Let's see how many of these "acts" we have presented to us to bestow on others this weekend!

Acts of kindness are contagious. A dear friend shared last night how she was shopping in a nearby town and the woman two people ahead of her in the check out lane was laden was three large bags. What aroused deep sympathy in my friend was that this woman had a cast on her wrist. My friend called out to her expressing her compassion (as this sweet soul had broken both of her wrists at the same time several years ago) and said if she would just wait for her to make her purchases she'd be happy to carry her shopping bags to her care for her. Immediately, the next lady in line offered to let my friend go ahead of her. Act Two of Kindness. Then the check out lady suggested the casted woman go get her car and pull up in front and all my friend would have to do is push a cart out to her.
One simple gesture brought three people together in efforts to make the day a little bit easier on another!

Your devotion today made me think of an Act of Kindness John & I experienced the other day. We were at Sweet Tomatoes, a restuarant we are getting addicted to. It has a huge salad bar when you come in. You take a plate & tray & fill up plate with salad fixins. Then, you pay, go find a table & put food down. Then, you go to another section & get soup, bread, sweet or baked potatoes, or pasta to go with salad. Afterwards, there is softserve ice cream with toppings. If you have a cupon, you can get this all between 11 am & 4pm for $6.99, quite a deal & oh, so yummy. Well,we had left our cupons at home. The lady in front of us had a cupon that she & her friend used. Some of the cupons say they can be used for up to 4 people. So, she asked the cashier if we could use their cupon, too. She said, yes. I thanked her & we moved on to get water. She said to me, "it costs nothing to be kind & people just don't think of it".
