Timely Word
Blessed to baby sit while these two hiked to a waterfall near Pigeon Forge, TN.
Cozied up on the couch, I was having a heart to heart with our 4 and 5 year old grandsons.
One was bemoaning how sad it made him to have to confess his sin and ask for forgiveness.
That prompted the other one to share he had been sad at school, when a child on the playground called him a baby. Then the four year old piped in that someone had called him, Kermit, at school. I asked if that made him sad. He said, "No, it made me angry!"
It was a fabulous conversation on the power of words. We talked about how once they run off your tongue you can't grab them back.
We decided to have a kindness contest to see who could bring the most joy to others.
