Face to Face

Snowman face toilet paper!

January 9
Our children are coming in this weekend and I can't wait to see them face to face. FaceTime is more exciting than a call, a call more personal than a text, but seeing them, kissing and hugging them face to face, sitting around the dinner table together is such a blessing. After my mama died, I recognized my Daddy's miss of touch and having her there with him face to face. How does the song lyric go...
I've grown accustom to her face!

Last night I read these two verses and thought...of all the things we hope for, seeing Jesus face to face should be the greatest.  Just think how He longs for us to see him.

"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.
Now I know in part; then I shall know fully even as I have been fully known."
1 Corinthians 13:12

"Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him,
you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory."
1 Peter 1:8
Today let's pray for those who are missing "a face" they've loved to be able to find comfort seeking the face of Jesus.  The best is yet to come!
